Balcony spot in Estafeta 29
175,00€ – 225,00€
This particular balcony comes with an extra. The owner of the apartment and his friends are runners in the running of the bulls, so you will have a chance to talk over a cup of coffee with real runners.
This amazing second floor apartment overviews the middle of the main street of the run. Located in Estafeta 29, you will see the bulls, coming from death man´s corner. This is almost the same view that Ernest Hemingway saw when he was in Pamplona. The balcony is right in front of his room in hotel La Perla.
You´ll be served coffee and a small breakfast. Its large balcony accommodates 14 people.
Price is per-person on a shared balcony. Everyone gets a front-row view.
How to get here:
The easiest way to reach the apartment is coming to Plaza del Ayuntamiento (City hall Square) You will find an opening at the wooden gates to access the route of the run.
You need to actually come inside the street of the run. When you come through the opening of the gate, “maybe” a police officer will check on you (especially if you are carrying a back-pack or a camera) Just tell them that you are coming to a balcony to watch the run, and that you are not actually running. Once you face the City Hall, walk to your right, towards the Bullring in the direction of the run. First you will be walking on MERCADERES street. This short street, will take you to DEATH MAN´S CORNER.
Once you make it over death man´s corner, about 100 feet away, you will find the entrance to the apartment on your left. It is a small wooden door with some iron work on it. It is by a shop called “TEXTILE HOGAR” Ring on the second floor, your host will be there. It is a light blue building.
Please notice that due to the special location of the apartment you will need to be there by 6:30/6:45 am. Otherwise you risk being stopped by the police as no one else other than the runners are allowed on the street passed 6:45 am.
If you are driving, parking is not a problem as there is a big car park underneath Plaza del Castillo. However, in order for you to secure a spot, you need to be parked by 6:30am. Specially on July 7th, 8th and the weekends it is VERY busy. We always recommend to reach Pamplona with a car and a driver. This way you will be sure that you are at the balcony in time.
